Do we install EV (Electric Vehicle) chargers aswell?
Yes, and we think its a great idea regardless of whether you have an EV car or not. Why not add more appeal to your home? We specialise in automating systems. We can setup the EV charger to only charge the car when the sun is out, literally charging your car for FREE.
Is there still a battery rebate?
Yes, the rebate is still in effect with an extended budget by the government!
Can I install a battery system with an existing solar system?
Yes, over 50% of homes in South-East Queensland have solar panels. We prefer to utilize existing solar systems if they have juice to charge the battery system.
How do I know if I am applicable to use the battery rebate?
If your property address hasn't claimed the rebate already then you have full access to the solar and solar battery rebate.
How much money does the rebate really save me?
For battery systems, the rebate covers from $200-$250 per Kwh. As the battery size the rebabte amounts reduce. The optimal battery size is 28kwh which can see savings over $6000. Add a solar system and the savings can be above $9000 in rebate reductions.
How many times can I claim a solar panel rebate?
Solar panel STC rebates only require that an inverter is installed aswell. If you have an older system or would like a larger inverter, you have full access to the Solar Panel STC rebate.
How many times can I claim a solar battery rebate?
The Solar Battery rebate can only be claimed once. This is why we always give you an additonal quote with a larger battery system as we dont want you to miss out on this opporunity.
Does the battery charge even when there is a grid outage?
We have seen countless homes where the installer has just slapped a new inverter and battery next to the existing solar system. This type of design wont charge the battery in a black out. We always re-design the property to make sure you have full blackout protection. That way even when you loose power, you just keep on living like its 1989.
Can I install my solar batteries in my shed and still have battery power to my house?
Yes, this all comes down to the design by the Solar Company. We have never not put forward an opporunity that alows FULL capacity and capability of the system. We have worked on plenty of rural properties in this situation.
What is a typical solar panel and solar battery installation consist of?
The most common system RBP installs consists of 11Kw of Solar, and 33kwh of battery. This is a great mid point and can be increased and decreased based on budget and design of the property.
